My Environment

The environment around my house, Alhamdulillah, is still green. Hee. The exterior of my house is a fish pond which has dried up since God-knows-how-long, and just outside the gate is a small garden growing various plants (i can't remember the names though!). Opposite my house is a beautiful landscape of a small field with newly planted trees around it and a stone path for jogging. About north-east of my house is a new set of terrace houses recently built and still quite deserted. The view from my balcony used to be beautiful green hills but a few years back they took the green hills away to make way for more construction.

*sigh*

The effects of construction... That beautiful landscape once available to feast our eyes on are now replaced with tractors and concrete. I guess that's the price we have to pay when construction is done no?

Niat, Laku, Hasil

This should be a meaningful post. I think.

My niat or intention of being a USM student and studying all that in HBP is to finally graduate as one of the top scholars of my time. InsyaAllah... My foremost intent or desire of existing as a USM student is to build a career ladder and climb it all the way to the top so that in the end I will achieve all that I dream of and inspire from my dad.

My laku or act in order to make real that intention of mine is to work hard as a student and achieve a certain standard of grades in my academic performance. InsyaAllah... (I have yet to begin this)

My hasil or result to my intention and act has of course not yet happened. Hee... I hope it turns out good though.

InsyaAllah.... :)

Penempatan and Petempatan?

Penempatan. Petempatan. What's the diff?? How can two very similar words bring very different meanings? Okay, well not very-very...just different.

I think. o_O

Penempatan to me is the placing of people into housing areas. So its like the act of literally distributing humans into their respective homes. Or something like that.

Petempatan, i think, is the actually platform for that penempatan to happen. It is the residential site where humans live in. It is the 'tapak' for the act of human placing. I think. ^_^"

House and Home

Sir 1b got us thinking...what's the difference between a house and a home? Aren't they the same?

Not quite.

House.
A house is a building built for residential purposes. It is simply a work of construction with no emotional attachment. Its purpose to humans is to provide shelter from the harm outside.

Home.
A home is a little more personal. It has a deeper meaning. A home is etched with emotions and memories. It is not simply a building for one to seek shelter from the outside. It is a sanctuary. A home is different to each individual. For instance, I may stay in Penang now but my home is and will always be PJ, Selangor where i have gathered many memories and my loved ones await me :)
